The 2019 Ford Ranger's Raptor Trim Delivers a Mid-Size Off-Roading Power

Whenever you're a driving a Ford and the word "Raptor" is involved, you know you're in for a good time. The Ford F-150's Raptor trim has become a go-to source of performance-driven drivers with a taste for off-roading. The famous automaker hopes to do the same with its upcoming Ford Ranger.

The recently revealed 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor will employ a range of improvement and design tweaks aimed at transforming this already powerful mid-size truck into a versatile vehicle that's perfect for adventurous drivers. Two inches taller than the regular Ranger, it will have nearly a foot of ground clearance. Enhanced brakes will likewise give it better stopping abilities than the standard Ranger.

Some of the most significant improvements, however, will like under the Ranger Raptor's hood. Boasting an all-new 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-4, it will have access to 211 horsepower and an impressive 369 pounds-feet of torque. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the Ranger Raptor, especially with that twin-turbocharged powertrain, can emigrate to American markets when the Ranger releases next year.

If nothing else, the 2019 Ranger Raptor is living proof that Ford is taking their return to the mid-size truck market seriously. They're sparing no expense to court truck drivers by providing a robust driving experience that's sure to earn immediate fans in this competitive segment.
