You can choose from four different powertrains to maximize your Escape for your needs. If you find your drive involves more city than highway, you can get either a 1.5 or 2.0L EcoBoost engine with auto start-stop technology. Save on gas by allowing your engine to seamlessly turn itself off when you stop and restart when your foot leaves the brake. There’s also the 2.5L iVCT Atkinson-Cycle I-4 engine in either a hybrid or plug-in design. With a 3.5- to 4.5-hour charge time, you’ll save even more time and money by skipping the gas station.

Technology

All models of the Ford Escape come standard with Ford Co-Pilot360™, a smart and handy suite of driver-assist technology. With pre-collision assist and automatic emergency braking (AEB), your car can detect a stopped vehicle or pedestrian in your way and give you a warning. If no action is taken on your part, the car can stop itself to avoid a collision when necessary. Paired up with BLIS cross-traffic alert, you’ll never have to worry about an accident when driving in heavy traffic.
